Xavier Font will be member of the jury panel for the Dobooku Awards 2016, which honours the best Capstone projects from the Civil Engineering School of Barcelona (UPC). The awards will be given at the evening ceremony that will take place on 24th January 2017 at the Col·legi d'Enginyers de Camins headquarters in Barcelona.
Alfa Polaris have been commissioned by the Granollers City Council to develop the concept design and the construction stage document for a new footbridge over the river Congost. The new structure is part of the new EC Granollers Football Pitch scheme, which will be moved from the city centre to this outskirt area.

The deck replacement of the bridge over the River Cardener in Callús is completed and from now on the crossing is accessible again. Work on the removal of the road diversion, which was necessary for the substitution of the deck, will start today.

Yesterday the first section of the new deck for the bridge over the River Cardener in Callús was positioned into place. Work on the erection of the new Corten steel structure is expected to last until the end of next week.

Today the Corten steel truss deck of the footbridge over the River Mogent in Montornès del Vallès was lifted to its final position. The structure was transported to the site in three sections, which were welded together on the left bank. Two cranes were necessary for its erection. Its opening is expected in two months.

Its reinforced concrete deck was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and reconstructed in 1943.
